Monterey California

Come enjoy this wonderful post!!

  Monterey California
I wrote down on a napkin at the Pier in Monterey. “You can’t go back and you can’t kill the memories.”
I was young once and I loved the sea, I loved highway one.  I tried to die in faraway wars and dear California saved me. The sea song made me dance with her. I suicide boarded the Winter storms and Alisa Fineman saved me with her kindness at Big Sur.
I saw a exquisite young woman at the poetry reading in the Spring of 1992. She eyed me and watched me like I was interesting prey. I went to her and  I introduced myself. My name is Johnnie, poet want-to-be and soldier. She smiled, licked her lips and she whispered. My name is Annie. I love the want-to-be poets. Make my blood boil with their tasty words.
She had long auburn hair and perfect hazel eyes…

My Window

To celebrate, to love and give,
all natural impulses for those we love,
for anyone that made your heart smile
who held your hand when times were hard;

And danced with you in sun and rain.

Gifts wrapped in beautiful paper and bows
are a treasure to cherish,
The contents can make you squeal with joy
and hug the person who knew you so.

On my birthday the other day I found,

A surprise morning breakfast prepared by a friend
with all your favourite things.

Candle lit and with Buck’s Fizz as starter.

Door bell ringing, delivery of so many flowers
I got hidden behind, laughing at the beauty,
Laughing at the balloon, like a little girl.

A message to get ready for a car arriving at noon,
Bringing us all to the sea and a little town,

Cheating really ruins it…

Rosie Blog

Cheating really ruins lives doesn’t it. Imagine the effort you make to get someone to like you and eventually fall in love with you. From the awkward first “Hello” to the nervous first “I love you” 😂 to the nervous first kiss 😙😙 . It’s an amazing experience. But human nature. This damn nature within us, and I wouldn’t call it nature really. More of a curse. It’s a curse how we somehow go from over the moon to bored just like that. A short term pleasure isn’t worth throwing away years and years of chasing someone and finally getting them. I guess for someone they confuse love with lust and eventually end of derailing everything they worked hard to get? I don’t know really. My main point of this was to try and make us remember the first few months of a relationship, the experience of the chase, being…

Growing Up with Christopher Robin – Daily Quote

Jo Hawk

I remember reading the Winnie the Pooh stories as a child. Christopher Robin’s tales made me jealous. I thought it would be wonderful to have a stuffed teddy bear who could talk to me. How glorious to escape to the Hundred Acre Wood for marvelous adventures with his loyal animal friends.

Someone gave me an overstuffed purple rabbit with a carrot tattoo on his left foot. The bunny was mute, or maybe he was a stoner. I was six, what did I know? My Hundred Acre Wood comprised a single scrawny apple tree. Each summer, it produced terrible green apples so sour my entire body shook for a week after only one bite. Sour Patch, Lemon Drops, and Warheads didn’t compare with those little green bombs. When the hard, inedible fruit matured, they fell to the ground and dissolved into rotting brown heaps. The wasps loved them and aggressively protected their…
