Growth

Come share in this lifetime achievement and a really great quote!

“Set your goals high, and don’t stop till you get there”. –  Bo Jackson

By far, spending seven days living, breathing, eating, sleeping and climbing this mighty volcano represented one of the biggest moments of personal growth in my life. Seeing the incredible beauty of the world from up so high made it all worth the effort and the sore feet. Now for 2018, I need to figure out my next adventure. What will it be?

Writing and Reflections

architecture-dream-woman-3112211_1920

A familiar rumble – these freight cars that

lumber across railroad tracks just down the hill

Sound that becomes something physical,

a rolling repetition that echoes in my chest

and vibrates under my feet

It used to unnerve me

this sense of something approaching

a foreboding of sorts

Filled with trepidation each evening, I sat inside and listened

a contrivance of my own making designed to condemn

Some nights a dense fog would roll in over crashing ocean waves,

each part filling space in the overwhelming silence

They joined together to create a symphony in the dark

Music to hearten even suspicious spirits

A flirtation between fear and hope

Like a song yet unwritten, the whistle called

from that place just down the hill…

a promise of movement from here to there

Inspired to make a change,

I drew mandalas on empty walls

Life Lessons

Don’t Miss This Wonderful Post On “Life Lessons” See How Many You Have Learned. Keep A Tally! Ha!

Discovering Your Happiness

Hello loves ❤

You know the old saying, “Youth is wasted on the young?”

I think about that on occasion — how I wish I’d had the self-awareness, confidence, and joy I have now when I was in my twenties and thirties.

So much of life is wasted on worry, regret, pain, and heartache. Of course some of this is inevitable and necessary.

Belo are 50 life lessons that I feel would be useful ❤

  1. Life is now

We keeping waiting for that amazing thing to happen in the future that will be the key to our happiness. But this is it. Right now. Life continues to be a series of right nows. So learn to love right now, and you’ll have an amazing life.

  1. Fear is an illusion (mostly)

Most of the things we fear never happen. Or if they do happen, they are rarely as bad as we…

A Stupid Man

Come and read Frank’s delightful and wise “A Stupid Man”

Frank Solanki

I met a stupid man today
Full of ego and pride
I tried to avoid him but
He wouldn’t leave my side
He kept staring back at me
With a curious look
Like I was some petty thief
A demon or a crook
I asked him the reason why
But he just wouldn’t say
He asked me the same thing
It continued all day
Then he began arguing
Shouting at me
So I screamed back at him
With no mercy
The argument came to a point
Things went out of place
Things soon became heated
I punched him in the face
It only hurt my knuckles
It’s still bleeding a lot
He was too sharp for me
I hit the wrong spot
I won’t be seeing him again
No stupidity anymore
I’d buy myself a new mirror
Old lays broken on the floor
