LONGING FOR YOU

A FOOL LONGING FOR YOU
By Charles Robert Lindholm

I Am A Silly Person
I Think

Believing In Things
So Improbable
Yet Hoping
Beyond Hope
That They Shall
Become A Reality

Refusing To Believe
That If Something
Has Never Happened
That It Never Will

I Believe In
Meant To Be,
Soulmates
And Kindred Spirits

If Not Here
And Now
Then
In The Great
Beyond
In Another Life
In Another Time
In Another Place

I Hear The Whispers
That The Universe
Brings To Me
Its Your Voice
Carried By Your Words
Its You Singing
The Songs Of Your Heart

And I Learn
Of The Sweetness
Of Your Soul
And I Long For You
Like A Fool
On The Equator
Longs For Snow

Rooted In My Place
And In My Time
I Shall Never
See Your Face
And Snowflakes
Shall Never
Kiss My Tongue
A SNOWFLAKE

But I Shall Still
Long For You
Like A Fool

And Pray
That The Universe
Never Stops
Bringing Me
The Sweet
Whispers
Of Your Voice
And Your Words
And The Sound Of You
Singing The Songs
Of Your Heart

I Am A Fool
Who
Longs For You

LONGING FOR YOU

And Dreams
Of Another Time
And Another Place
Where Wishes
Come True

  2. I loved the lines:
    “I Believe In
    Meant To Be,
    Soulmates
    And Kindred Spirits”
    because I do, too!

You may want to change “Were wishes” to “Where wishes” to reflect your meaning. Just a typo, I’m sure. ❀

    I am a soulful "Kindred Spirit!" ❀

  3. Beautiful piece. Longing for this someone, this kindred soul, but never really knowing them or if they exist. But a strong hope that endures. A powerful piece. πŸ™‚

    1. I’m so happy you enjoyed this! This is one I love. It was one of those stream of consciousness pieces that almost wrote itself! I will. Thanks so much for your lovely comment!

As long as you have the word “Copyright (c)” the year published and the copyright owner’s name that is all you need. I like to add “All Rights Reserved” since this is what Microsoft uses. I figure it’s good for me also. You have to put that notice on everything you publish to protect your work from falling into the “Public Domain”. If you work falls into the Public Domain then it basically is no longer your property and can be used by anyone without royalty or credit or any control by you in how it is used.

Don’t ever let you work fall into the Public Domain. To actually, get a Copyright registered with the Library of Congress you have to submit it. If you want to do that you can submit an anthology of your work, basically a book of your work and it covers everything in it. Hope that helps. You can google it too.

Yes, I will keep being silly!
