Come read this great post about the pace of life and the functioning of our families into today’s fast paced life.
J.A.’s post was the inspiration for my “Fly By” – I loved her line – Sometimes I look at my family and marvel at how fast life moves.
Come see if you can relate???
Tonight I’m making a roast.
I work four nights a week. While the hellions are in school I edit Old Souls, which means the nights and weekends I do get to spend with the boys are typically quite busy. Meals are rushed. There is homework to contend with, chores to be doled out, and music lessons to practice between futsal, basketball, and physiotherapy appointments for the youngest hellion’s clubfoot, which has recently begun to turn back in as his quickly growing bones seem to be growing a little too quickly for his muscles to keep up.
*takes deep breath*
Sometimes I look at my family and marvel at how fast life moves.
My husband and I often pass like two ships in the night: occasionally able to enjoy each other’s company in the workings of everyday life, but usually high-fiving at the door for “shift change.” We exchange texts and…

Come and let Kim lead you into the still and silence of the Citadel in her masterful piece “Arch”!!
My response to Sue Vincent’s photo prompt ‘Arch.’
She walked with awe in this most magnificent citadel. A still and silent place.
A pensive temple where lofty pillars lifted her spirits to mix with those of the ancient bards and heroes whose ghosts found sanctuary in these arcane hallways.
She felt safe within the walls of this primeval fortress, where light and shadows reposed in harmony. Here she was protected from the harsh realities of the life that she knew awaited her beyond the arch.
Would she ever again have the opportunity to escape to the comforting cocoon provided by these walls? Or would she be imprisoned in the cold mansion home of her future husband; twenty-five years her senior and whom she had met for the first time yesterday?

Come read “Never Give Up” if you want to succeed!
When life gets hard and obstacles are all you see,
When every path you take bring you to roadblocks,
You may feel inclined to call it quits but never give up.
Stand firm, dig deep and never give up. It is the
determined ones who are more likely to achieve success.
Come and read “Impressions” and see if you’ve had a relationship to resemble this poem!
Have your ever played the fool? Come read “The Fool”
I’m sorry I miss you
Days and nights
Here, there, everywhere
I miss you
I really do
What’s on your mind
What have you been up to
Yes, you have your life
No, I won’t interrupt
But I’m really sorry
I truly miss you, like a fool
