We need not go far
to find this moment
the garden is a
treasure box waiting
to be opened
a moment’s pause
to watch the bees buzz
from flower to flower
as butterflies rest
to sun their wings
and our silent companion
stops to smell the dill.

The Mindless Frog – a poem by Paul Vincent Cannon

“As long as the general population is passive, apathetic, diverted to consumerism or hatred of the vulnerable, then the powerful can do as they please …”  Noam Chomsky

The Mindless Frog

On a cold winters day
I was prim on my lily pad
awaiting a princess to
plant her lips on me,
an average fantasy of transformation
by any normal standard and
I was so surprised when instead a
man carefully picked me up,
fed me and placed me
in some nice tepid water
where I thawed and relaxed,
stretching and luxuriating,
I was so unconcerned as
my flesh started to loosen and
gently peel from my bones
rising to the surface where
the beady eyes of the man
continued to watch expectantly,
too late I realised
that princes consume.

Siren Whispers

I want to take a moment to thank all my wonderful followers and readers. When I created this blog back in 2014, I never anticipated it would grow as it did; I just wanted a place to share what I was feeling, thinking, and seeing in my mind’s eye.

Recently I have begun to write pieces that reflect the many changes my life has undergone. To date I have published two of them on Medium magazine, found online.

The links below will take you to each piece, a short read. I hope you enjoy.

Thank you again for your wonderful support.

Redirect your focus

It’s been a rollercoaster 🎢

Stolen hearts pulled apart, dangling in the air

Drawn by dominate words and thoughts

While soaking up the Sun on Midnight Runs

You gave your time

While awaiting the perfect

Like a Flower 🌺

In full Bloom

The enjoyment of a Motorcycle ride 🏍 on the Moon 🌚

There we shall be together

Love Entangled,

Love Embraced,

Love erased

Vanished…

When I was in school and first studied about Hitler I remember feeling sickened by what I learned. It was mind boggling to me how a Country could let someone so evil take over power and do all the horrible things that he did!

What I grew to realize was that he wasn’t outright evil all at once. It was a growing thing. He didn’t call for the extermination of the Jews right away. He started slowly taking their rights away, and then encouraging people not to buy from them and so on. He persuaded people to believe that he was doing the right thing for the Country, that he would make Germany great again. He was disgruntled about how Germany was.

There are articles that say that his stare could be mesmerizing and intimidating and he would use that when making speeches and making eye contact with others. It…

Quotes For Life- Regrets

Keep it alive

Regrets eat at us from the inside. Some people are pragmatic and go through life looking at things in a realistic manner. But some of us are torn apart by doubts and regrets. I always think that life gives us one day at a time so that we can correct our mistakes from yesterday, and not live in yesterday, ruing our mistakes.

The few quotes that I have put together in this post are just a few from thousands. The wise and sagacious people have found regrets are futile and there are many excellent quotes to prove that.

There is no arguing with this logic. Live for what you can do or achieve in the next instant in your life, not for what didn’t work or went wrong in the past.

Easier said then done, one might say. But if one thinks logically about it, there is absolutely no use…
