Walking the path alone
holding the hope in her heart
she marched ahead
with determination and grit
While worldly leisure and human greed
did form confetti on her mind
from time to time,
but that didn’tdeter her thoughts,
for no farrago of any mystic score
was bold enough
to break her vision’s mold

This my response to Beckie‘s Question;
Immersed in the sublimity of musical notes
I savor the nostalgia it evokes in my heart

How can it
be that we turn our heads,
Or walk past
the struggling man?
A simple act
of kindness, as it’s called today,
Was always
part of God’s plan.
“Do unto
others…” wasn’t just a line
From a book
that is centuries old.
No, it’s
called being human, with a heart that gives
To another
with love in your soul.
So, slow
down and help that person in need
And reach
out with a helping hand.

lift someone up from a place of despair
Then and
there you’ll finally understand.
Poems are not read: they are reread.
Reread the poem, then read between the lines,
then look at it, then watch it, then peek at it:
handle it like an object.
Contemplate its shadows, angles and dimensions.
