great escape
Unstoppable
Like some morning breeze in a spring morning,
gentle and calm, pristine and serene,
unruffled from the darkness it was confronting some moments back,
she rouse joyous,
shaving off the shades of the past,
she reclaimed her happiness,
grabbing it with both hands,
and clasping it with her soul,
with a pure feeling,
she was in love for sure,
with everything around,
with the blissful dawn,
the charming blooms,
the busy bees,
and the mighty trees,
she rekindling her memories and surged ahead,
it was a new day, a new beginning,
and she danced and kissed
like that early morning blithe

Those Giggles
Those unstoppable giggles
maybe annoying for some,
but for me
it is the sound of bonding,
the clamor of togetherness.
And through the clinks,
and loud cacophony clanks,
it weaves few stories,
and treasure some memories,
which will make us nostalgic,
and give uncalled smiles,
in the years to come.

Learning
And so it is that even when we are fully grown, well into adulthood, our hearts are still growing and learning.
Learning lessons we never thought we would need to learn, but finding a breath of life in that education, and feeling a youth in that rebirth.
We wonder if we may finally get it right, if we may know, at last, that path we need to traverse. We look for kindred souls, knowing that similarities are what bind us and make us strong, even in tumultuous times. We seek those we can walk side by side with, not to be led by, but to journey with.
There is a peace that comes with this knowledge along with a racing of the pulse, as though we are at the starting line, waiting for the gun to go off, and the race to begin.

The Truth Is ~ A Poem By Walt Page, The Tennessee Poet
What is the truth?
This 5 letter word we search for?
The truth is elusive
Something we can’t handle
Something we twist
And deny
Because we can’t face it
We don’t want to know it
But yet we do
We need to know the truth
The whole truth
And nothing but the truth
We need to know
But we don’t want to
For me
The truth is
I really don’t give a damn
And I’m just too tired to care

Between my lines
Come Enjoy – Between My Lines
I wonder
if you can feel
the ache in my words
the desire in my sentences
the sex in my poetry.
I wonder
if you can feel
the you
between my lines.

Not newly written. But can you feel it?
