I regret the end.

Poetry & Stories

End it is,

End is sad,

But a happy end,

Which puts a smile,

When we close the book.

A story with happy ending.

It is sad to close the book.

But it’s satisfying worth of time,

Is just that last smile.

I want that end.

End is hard,

I agree, it hurts.

But a half read book,

By the night lamp,

Keeps calling,

For completion.

And the anxious heart of the reader,

Wants that satisfaction.

I’m your book,

And you my reader.

Our story,

We choose now,

Turning a page closer to the end.

To Romance, erotic or tragic ending.

Good writers, we have been,

Let’s agree on the ending,

Give a ending worth cherishing.

And then we close this book.

Let’s make a book worth reading,

Over and over again.

Poetry In Today’s World ~ A Poem By Walt Page, The Tennessee Poet

Walt's Writings

The news every day is filled with despair
The scandals in Virginia involving the Governor
The Lt. Governor and The Attorney General
The revolving door for White House Aides
Border security, MAGA, Humanitarian crisis
President’s advisers, attorneys and colleagues indicted
United States pulling out of nuclear treaty with Russia
A country divided… Fake news
Despair… on and on and on
My escape?
Poetry. Reading it. Writing it.
Poetry filled with hope
Writings from the heart
Love for one another
Like Calgon
The beauty of poetry takes you away
It gives you strength and hope
It provides respite
From the constant machine gun attack
Of despair
Let poetry change your world

Perhaps the poet Langston Hughes said it best
“Let America be America again.
Let it be the dream it used to be.”

Wanting things is easy. But wants come at a price. Often, we do not consider the total price, a price not solely marked in dollars and cents. We pay a price with the items we put aside or choose not to pursue. There is a cost in time and effort we expend in the pursuit of our wants.

As writers, we exchange time with friends and family, for time scrawling words across a blank page. We forego a tidy home for a perfectly crafted story. Our dinner is snack food while we fill plot holes with sumptuous morsels. When we consider the exchange, the total price, the importance of setting priorities becomes clear. Contemplating total costs makes the work easier to plan and strengthens our resolve to follow through with our intentions.

What are you willing to exchange?

Being as you are…

Savvy Raj

Your life is a gift.

Explore the best in you

Take charge of yourself!

Choose to know your strengths.

Than search for influencers outside

Choose authenticity, to be real

There is much within awaiting you

So much to simply be…

It is actually simpler to be yourself. There is something that each of us can do better than any other. So important then to listen to the inner voice and bravely obey that.

Time between lovers♥️

Romantic Love Poems- Words from Heart

So far away you are, my love,
There are oceans and oceans between us,
Clock ticking differently, calendars flipping separately,
No don’t try to console me with your words.

My heart aches, it wants to be close to you,
Remembering those endless hours together,
With me laying on my bed, keeping you up till 4 am,
Never wanting to let go of each other.

You painted rainbows in my skies,
I traced stars over your heart,
Your fingers ran softly over my tresses,
And kisses would endlessly last.

I would worry about your sleep,
You would hold me close to your chest,
And in this feeling of warmth ,
We would snuggle and sleep in our nest.

But the winds have changed, bringing a different spell,,
And time no longer seems to be on our side,
And my heart aches, as it thinks about,
The gap between your sunset and…
