There’s always been something that fascinates me about watching a story unfold. The stories that make up the roadmap of your life. How every story has a beginning, middle, and an end. How every chapter leads inexplicably to the next. As if it was meant to be, but not always easy. And certainly not predictable. Especially our story. Through the highs and lows. The happy days, and the sad ones. The tragedies and triumphs. No matter what we face, I wouldn’t trade it for anything. You are mine as I am yours. Because loving you is worth every sacrifice.

BRAIN FREEZE

Have you ever loved somebody so much, it makes you cry? Have you ever needed something so bad you can’t sleep at night? Have you ever tried to find the words but they don’t, come out right? That’s true love.♥️I want to give my special Valentine flowers, but it has to be more than a dozen. I want to go out and rent a planet, so I can plant my lover a garden.

Then we’ll walk through it hand and hand, as we admire all the different types. Gaze upon the Sparkling sky, as the stars spell your name within the night.💫

I catch the slightest glimpse of your eyes, and that’s when the trance starts. I see fireworks you see rainbows, passionate emotions fulfill the heart.♥️

Our poems are lasting memories, while our text will keep us together. But once we hear each other’s voice…

A Faded Romantic's Notebook

I wrote this a year ago. Since then I have gained new followers, and some may have missed it. I would hate readers to be under any illusions about the man and writer behind Romantic Dominant

Some followers on WordPress and Twitter are surprised and disappointed when I express political or general opinions, outside of what they ‘expect’ from me. A number unfollowed me today after my recent tweet mocking the ludicrous idea that more guns make for a safer society.

Rather than you all unfollow me in an untidy fashion as you realise that I am not quite what you expected, I have decided to post this ‘small print’ about me, so all those who wish to take offence at my beliefs can disappear at once. I am certain there is something in here to upset most people but I do feel obliged to come clean about the man…

Some people are very grey,
while some are plain beige,
that’s who they are,
others, unfortunately,
are determinedly black or white
and entirely predictable,
some are bohemian rainbows,
free spirits,
some,
like my girl,
colour my day.

Please Come And Enjoy – Every Moment

Siren Whispers

IMG_3943It defies explanation or definition

yet persists

days when it is there, quietly

sitting in the corner

waiting to speak,

other times

words filling me

with a rush –

images vivid in tone and texture

what is it that calls my pen to action

my being to yearning –

it is a restless, palpable electricity

all shivering limbs

and hushed desires

a longing that speaks without words

we watch each other

as if we are taking

a long drink of ice-cold water

on a scorching day

it’s how it feels

when you are about to taste something

for the first time

that wondrous expectancy

a feeling so delicious

you can’t wait for it to start

yet want to draw it out

every moment imbued

with import

and every confidence

that your world

is about to be

rocked
