Define Love.
It’s a feeling, an emotion, and a religion that you make. It’s a current that shoots through your body electrifying and numbing the senses, both at once. It ebbs and flows, transforms you all day, every day. It lifts you up and keeps you afloat. It can also drown you. Because there is no exception or definition of love that is complete. It’s you, and it’s that one person who you just thought of.
We’re defining love today! I wouldn’t take up this immense task myself if it weren’t for overwhelming feelings one day, and this piece was born. It has been a while, and I still stand by this definition. It could change one day, but the last sentence will always resonate with me. Sometimes I surprise myself with some of my words. I just have never known that this feeling or this emotion exists in me…

Beckie of Beckie’s Mental Messhas created this challenge and I am the lucky ones to be tagged first! Thank you so much Beckie.
“Pop of Positivity” It’s based on one simple thing. “Life doesn’t have to suck all the time.” Let’s face it… There is a Helluva lot of negativity in the real world, and it’s pretty hard to escape it. I thought of this as a means to brighten up everyone’s day from thinking negatively for a moment out of their day. Perhaps, share some smiles along the way too.

The poor unicorn is a much maligned and misunderstood creature. Whether you believe the unicorn is a case of mistaken identity, and it is a rhinoceros, a narwhal, a long-extinct beast or merely a myth, he has survived for centuries. Accounts surfaced in ancient Greek mythology and circled the globe. From the Mediterranean to India and China to Chile, it is the stuff of legends.
For me, magic and legend present as two sides of a coin minted with equal parts history, and fantasy, mixing reality with imagination. The stories depict a ferocious brute which refused capture. When hunted, it would jump off a high cliff. The unicorn allowed the power concentrated in its glittering head ornament to absorb the impact and let it escape unscathed.
I like the concept of collecting mankind’s negative energy in an enchanted chalice to save the beast’s life. It is easy to pretend I am a unicorn…

“Those who corrupt the public mind are just as evil as those who steal from the public purse.”
Adlai E. Stevenson, ambassador, governor, Quotes for Now
John F. Kennedy and Adlai E. Stevenson
“Pieces of me died, little by little, over the years.
Little bits of my innocence at a time.”
Pieces of me died, little by little, over the years. Little bits of my youth here. Shards of my innocence there. All those fragments of my soul were cast out into the world with a bandage that looked like peaches and cream skin. But if you counted all those freckles and scars, you’d see the reflection of all those pieces that died over the years. Would you still think I’m anything other than a walking corpse?

Those little deaths
do not define me
as I am today.
