By Charles Robert Lindholm
Quietly he sits
in the silence of the night
weaving words inside his head
by the flickering candlelight
His muse has shown him everything
in the grand design
so he weaves his words with subtlety,
with cadence, rhythm and rhyme
And in the Final Tapestry
the world can clearly see
the messages he intended
for everyone to see
But hiding between the lines
is a message meant for me
whispered words and longings
of how things ought to be
And in my dreams he comes to me,
with his words, he holds me tight
as we fly away in ecstasy
in the Backside of the Night
