Constantly on fire

Rhapsody Bohème

Whoever said that the spiritual path was easy? Spirituality doesn’t mean that you are having a quiet, nice life. That you are always in zen mode and that nothing can disturb your peace. It’s quite on the contrary and spirituality means consistently being on fire. It requires that you allow yourself to be reduced to ashes. Over and over again. Until you become the clearest and purest version of yourself and a channel for spirit. What is to die will also give way to rise. You are given this life because you are strong enough to live it.

Transmuting

Source of Inspiration

Just as light extinguishes darkness
joy transmuted sadness
ugly disappears when seen
through eyes that know only beauty
faith sustains through fear.

When, then, Dear Ones, do you
look for love among those
who know it not?
A heart unwilling to open
remains closed.

Create your own space of love
both inside and out
choosing carefully
what you select.

“Time is an Illusion.” Albert Einstein

Defeating Time

When you slow down you find your rhythm
no longer captive to the leer of the clock,
imagine time as to feeling, as to touch,
taste, to drink time, to laugh and cry time,
to experience time as the presence of a
loved one or the caress of a lover, a sip of
fine wine, or to observe the changing sky,
to sit and imbibe the elements of any one
day or the intimacy of friendships defeats
the one who steals soul.

What Is Love? – a poem by Paul Vincent Cannon

“You only have to let the soft animal of your body love what it loves.” Mary Oliver

What Is Love?

What is love,
merely an electricity,
a heady overstimulation of
touch, a voracious lusty
coupling, or is it the meeting
of like minds, a copulation of
thoughts and imaginations,
or is it the pleasure of being
held, being acknowledged,
yes, it is all of that, but surely
love, real love, is the feeling
we have when we know
someone really wants to be
with us as we are, the rest is
icing on an already glorious cake.
