I wrote this small piece 7 years ago. It is referencing the experience of a new relationship. I was coming from a very long term relationship and was unsure of how to navigate a new one. This amazing new love made it feel natural and comfortable.
sometimes it feels we began before we met
my arms open for you
waiting for us to wrap in a familiar embrace
entirely intertwined
we are not that tangled necklace, we flow together in wonderful knots
I feel you everywhere
my heart drops a bit at goodbye, but I know there is more
there are songs in our hearts, yet to be heard
