Heart Shaped Shell 🐚 Written By Nichole Sulpizio

For My Prescious D 💋

There initials in red

Glistening like the sandy shore

It once danced upon

Singled out

Touched with love

A love unbeknownst to the giver

And reciver alike

That one single shell

Would determine the fate

Of two lost hearts

Tears drops falling upon this precious gem

Both salty in nature

Brought to life a genie

Of sorts

Casting out wishes of a faithful love

That would quench

The desires

Of the body, the heart and soul

Forever more

In his hands he held it close

Until he inscribed there love

For that day

He gave to her

Ponder Existence- Michael Erickson

Go Dog Go Café

Leave me to ponder words of existence,

For my voice has left upon the wind.

Footprints lead me to the edge,

As the known world ends before my eyes.

What is left in the fading light is unknown,

And there my thoughts now go.

Let my skin feel a breeze move round the world,

As my feet ground against solid stone.

Upon these cliffs do I stand uncertain,

And wait for this mind to still.

Will my voice return upon this wind who knows,

Leave me to ponder words of existence.

Michael is a husband, father, writer, poet, and aspiring author. He finds time to scribble down his thoughts in the dead of night, between ghosts and night owls. If you’d like to read more of his poetry follow the link here. Or to visit his full blog, ‘The Ink Owl’ click here.

No Experience Needed – Poem by Ali Grimshaw

Come and Enjoy this from Ali

flashlight batteries - Ali Grimshaw

“Poetry is not only dream and vision; it is the skeleton architecture of our lives. It lays the foundations for a future of change, a bridge across our fears of what has never been before.” – Audre Lorde

Come write with me

throw your words on the wall

like paint.

Splattering in play.

See which ones stick.

Watch which ones fall.

See the bridge

that you have forgotten.

The girl inside you

is longing to get messy.
