Rain Sang – a poem by Paul Vincent Cannon

“The little reed, bending to the force of the wind, soon stood upright again when the storm had passed over.” Aesop

Rain Sang

The storm thundered in across the bay
like a drum roll on sheet-metal,
while the wind played tunes with leaves,

∼ and rain sang its song of healing ∽

Passing slowly across the grey sky,
falling to kiss the earth with life,
bringing silence and calm in its wake.
