Bad Girls Need
Divergence
Hesitate
Standing
at the edge
she waits
half hoping
for a gust of wind
a friendly push
or a sudden
twist of fate.
But only she
can decide
whether to jump
or to hesitate.

Her Net Is Cast – a poem by Paul Vincent Cannon

“Once you begin watching spiders, you haven’t time for much else.” E.B. White
Her Net Is Cast Watch out moon, you're much too close, nothing an orb likes more than collecting golden orbs, and though the night is darker now, you shine the clearest path, and she may suddenly dart across her gossamer road and snare you unawares, her net is cast and you are near, beware her hidden smile. ©Paul Vincent Cannon
A Prayer
protect me dark angel
the night holds the unknown
wing me away in your embrace
until the fears are gone.
kiss me soft dark angel
to ease my passion’d heart
stay with me, my carnal love
until dawn when we part.
House
I build a house
with no outside
just silent walls
that reach the sky
It has no doors
to open in
I build a house
to hide within.
I build a house
that shelters me
providing
a tranquility
from curs-ed
insecurity
this is the house
that hides in me.
Seashells
seashells tied to twine
sing melodies on the breeze
from an ancient shore
