A Poem by Coyote PoetryThe lessons of love are taught to harden or soften the heart. “
Wasted words and lonely nights….
I foundher sitting alone in the corner of the bar.
She got up and she hugged me. Gave me a simple kiss and
we sat in a strange silence.
I went back in time when the sparkle in her blue eyes could light up the world around her and
I remembered how badly I wanted her.
How I twisted my world backwards just to spend a few moments with her.
My only desire was to kiss her sweet lips and hold her body near.
Now she sit alone with sad eyes and no Will to love again.
She ask me “WasI still playing the bastard still?”
I didn’t answer. I said too many wasted words on her and my heart broke every time I thought of…

A Poem by Coyote PoetryRare times in a life we can find comfort with another. We need to hold on till the dream disappears.
Please stay with me…
I sipped my coffee.
I watched the movement of the branches outside my bedroom windows.
It was a stormy night in Michigan.
Your beautiful nude body laid on the top of the blankets.
I watched your movement of your body.
Nightmares seem to steal all your sweet dreams.
Your body trembles and shake.
I go to you.
I caressed your beautiful face.
You wrapped your body around me and
I caressed your back and legs.
Roll my hand through your long blond hair.
I found you by the lake.
On a beautiful Germany Summer day.
You walked by me and I could not forget your face.
Your sweet and gentle smile.
I found you again on a hot August…

A solace and a blessing…
(Written in 1979)
..
The good cognac and German wines kept me in my woeful and tranquil state.
I was lost, fainthearted and raging mad at life.
Death and dreams were shattered on eroded roads I can’t remember.
I thought I was born to love.
My sacred love has languished my life.
And the tormented cure is my wrathfuland oblivious soul that is left.
I lay in the sweat of shattered dreams wishing for nothing.
Old friend with tranquil smile asked me to walk with her.
She took me to the youth Hostel on the hill.
I would not look at her too long.
Her great beauty was too much now for me.
I was content to lose my freedom to beer and wine.
She told meI was falling down to hell and a woeful state.
I needed to find a refuge in her for…

My Submission:
Brave and beautiful face,
Broad, beguiling smile.
But, broken mirrors reflect the bonafide me;
Beaten, battered, and belittled.
Boisterous bellows, beset from the bowels of my being, beg for a new beginning.
Buyer beware, the beast’s bounty is often backhanded,
Brought by way of a blurred reality.

Pat’s Ponderings
Do our children of today have dreams filled with hope? Yesterday I asked a group of children from an impoverished area of Brazil what was one thing that they could do to make the world a better place? The typical answer was, “Buy a mansion; buy an expensive car.” Are we teaching our children that buying expensive things with the true value of life?
