Poetry Reading – “For You”

Objects, and the Distance Between Them

Originally published April 15, 2018, this piece was a statement of understanding, and a promise, one I still aim to keep to this day.

“For You” – Recorded 3/7/2021 – Auroraboros – Objects, and the Distance Between Them

The original piece is below for reference, and can be found in its entirety at http://objectsanddistance.com/2018/04/15/for-you/

When I tried to kiss you
You turned away
And I felt
My stomach
Digesting my heart
The room grew
And the walls became
Far too close

When I tried to kiss you
I can only imagine
The thoughts
That coursed through your head
The memories
And lasting pain
That you endured
My rejection
Utterly meaningless
In comparison

When I left
The shadows crept
Close behind
As always
To swallow whatever
Semblence of self
I had mustered
Over the course of
An otherwise perfect day

When I left
I lay awake

Words for you, my love..

Words for you my love

                         The Illusion….

Some photos are poetry. Beautiful photos and beautiful artwork. They are poetry for the eyes. I saw you resting alone. Simple photo with great beauty for my eyes to see. The illusion of your photo. Your wild hair, tangled-up and free. Your warm and kind eyes. Maybe just a illusion? Maybe life support to be a inferno journey to adore the kind and the beautiful things, We are not made to have. The perfect and beautiful things. We adore.

                                 The longing…

The dance of perfect love. Two lucky people knowing the utopia of a perfect place. Maybe just myth and tale? I told a lover once. Distance create longing. Longing create intimacy. Today I…

I adore you…

 I adore you…

Perfect beauty resting in my arms and I whispered a quiet prayer.
“I love your face,
I love hearing your sweet and gentle voice.
I love  when you laugh and when you cry.
You are a blessing to a man who needed kindness and love.
You are turbulent water and dangerous sea.
Dear Paloma.
You are my morning star and the shining moon on a clear night.
I shall love you forever and a day.”

Beautiful Paloma turned to me and she whispered.
“Dear Poet.
You are my life giving blood.
You have saved me and I’m blessed to be able to look into your hazel eyes.
You taught me.
Love is life and life is love.
I was going to exiled life and give-up.
You wouldn’t allow me to die.
You made me understand, we must endure pain to know sweetness.
We must know lost to…

Promote Your Books On My Blog!

charles french words reading and writing

I usually do a once a month post in which I ask authors to promote their books along with everyone else who joins the party. I will continue to do that, but I also want to open my blog up to authors to do posts in which they can promote their book(s). Here, they can write a post to help spread the word about their writing; it could be a piece about the book, an interview with a character, or an author interview. The possibilities are wide.

This option will not exist only for this month. I want authors to know that they are free to submit a guest post about their book(s) whenever they wish. I ask that it be sent to be as a Word.doc to frenchc1955@yahoo.com.

Be sure to include photos of the book, banners, and links to where your work can be purchased if you have…

A day of silence

Savvy Raj

~ Silence ~

A day of Silence
Can be a pilgrimage in itself.
A day of Silence
Can help you listen
To the Soul play
In marvelous lute and drum.
Is not most talking
A crazed defense of a crumbling fort?
I thought we came here
To surrender in Silence,
To yield to Light and Happiness,
To Dance within
In celebration of Love’s Victory!

~ Hafiz ~

Be silent and sense the stillness

A million moves may be more

Are manifesting in this now

Hear the music unfold its rhthym

Be still and sense the moves

For stillness is full of movements

In the depth of Silence

We witness the dance within.

DAYS GONE BY… a poem

Kevin Parish

lamppost near tree during daytime

Longing for grasses

Left long ago

Below the bench

Where I used to sit

With my grandfather

Listening to tales

Of exploiting the world

In the guise of a sportsman

While inhaling every drop

Mother Nature so graciously provided

These are the tales of days gone by

These are the memories

We hope to inspire

While holding a little hand

And where big innocent eyes

Look up to us in wonder
