Contented Confusion – a poem by Paul Vincent Cannon

“What’s past is prologue, and the world awaits.” Lisa Mantchev

Contented Confusion

I wanted to embrace the little spark
of curiosity that surfaced in my mind,
unmasking the text of your eyes
betraying the deep waters of uncertainty,
seeking what is evoked in unseen hearts,
written in solitude, such tortured
language of soul creating images of
possibility, drowning in doubt while
reaching for the stars that speak to
you of letting go.
