The Darkness (Reprise) ~ Walt Page, The Tennessee Poet

The Darkness (Reprise) ~ Walt Page, The Tennessee Poet

The darkness has a hold on me
Nothing is worse than the things I see
Nightmares haunt me in my dreams
My only way out is my fantasy

If you could see what the darkness does
You would say goodbye to who I was
Come along with me tonight
And let me bring your fears to life.

Come with me and have no fear
You are the one that I hold dear
Don’t look back on days that are gone
It’s time for us, we must move on

When darkness ends and morning comes
They’ll look for us but we’ll be gone
We’ve gone back to the night we met
When the darkness came that night we left

The darkness whispered, “Time to come home”
And then it took us as its own.

Stand Tall ~ Walt Page, The Tennessee Poet

Walt's Writings

Stand Tall ~ Walt Page, The Tennessee Poet

Stand tall and proud
Stand up straight
Head up!
I know it hurts!
When you slouch
It’s harder to breathe
When it’s hard to breathe
It’s hard to write
So stand up tall and write today

I love writing about my mountains
And I hope I keep getting stronger
I don’t know what I would do
If I couldn’t write anymore.
I need to write.
I need to put letters together
To form words and then words
To form sentences.

I am The Tennessee Poet.
I am a Writer, a Poet,
A Wordsmith and a Musical Artist
I love what I do and I do what I love.

Bits of things that pop into this mind.

I hate the way I have to fix all the different broken parts of me.

I hate believing I’d give up on all the possibilities.

I hate me for throwing pity parties instead of finding the strength I need.

I hate me for letting pieces of me break as if everything would always work perfectly.

I hate thinking of how I use to be so carefree.

I love the way I know myself enough to trust intuition faithfully.

I love me for knowing I’ll come back stronger in the end,

simply because

I love me.
