-A New Day-

A morning within walls,
dreaming of feeling the fresh air.
Singing by the window –
yellow and black pitching in a happy tune, fled with open wings within the breeze to
Watching it like a movie placed on a
theatre screen, the window beheld a story.

Wasn’t it hard though? To watch the
whole world through windows?
Eyes shut, gratitude heaved down the heart with utter gratefulness for the hands helping
one another and for the warriors behind the scenes-
Shattered & whole,
empty & full,
sad & happy,
the moon bowed goodbye
as the sun raised a hello;
praying in hope
strengthening up in courage
a new day began.

Unquenchable – a poem by Paul Vincent Cannon

Photo: vividlife.me

“There are far, far better things ahead than any we leave behind.” C.S. Lewis

this song on my lips,
the jive in my hips,
a line of thought,
an idea, at once authentic,
the very vision of reality,
a fork in the trail,
opening a way through the
deliberate hiddenness of
our deepest self, who waits
for this moment to sing
and dance the life trail
from the voice of my heart.

Goodbye 2020

Walt's Writings

Goodbye 2020

Goodbye 2020
we’re glad to see you go

don’t let the door
hit you in the ass
when you leave

you made us suffer
through a deadly pandemic

the worst President
of the US ever

a Congress that cared more
about themselves than those
they were sworn to serve

rioting and looting
in our streets

you brought death
and pain with you

Go now
never come back

Leave now so we
can try to recover
from you

WritePhoto- Steps

Keep it alive

I am using this photo from Sue Vincentfor writing my WritePhotopost for this Thursday.

Take your courage in both of your hands and go forward

A new horizon, a new challenge is beckoning you

These steps are already crafted and laid for you

Take your courage in both your hands and step forward

Be afraid not of what tomorrow may hold for you

One can never know the gifts awaiting in the future day

So do step forward with courage and find the gifts

A Happy New Year Everyone!

Keep it alive

So last year I wished all of you a happy new year with the hopes that it would be great for us all!

Unfortunately, fate had other things planned. But some good things happened this year too.

• We learned to want less, spend less

• We learned a few valuable lessons regarding our use of the resources of this planet

• Trump lost the election

• A couple of vaccines were approved for use and are being administered to people all over the world.

• We have lived through a year that we feared we wouldn’t survive

• There were a million examples of selfless service and care by people

• We are now hardened campaigners and aren’t fearing 2021

So congratulations to you all for surviving this year.

I sincerely hope that 2021 is better in every way for all of us. (Even the stupid people who think…
