Slanted Days – a poem by Paul Vincent Cannon

“Time is an illusion.” Albert Einstein

Slanted Days

Some days time goes slant,
doing its own most peculiar thing,
upending the laws of physics,
placing me parallel unseen where,
somedays I am beside myself
dancing demented under a
lathering, metronomic pulse,
while there are other days, where
I am warped down in a distorted
sound yawn, like swimming in
hypnosis, a treacled meditation,
wandering me along my way,
some days are just slanted.
