Walking In The Wind

there is something special
about walking in the wind
it is refreshing… rejuvenating…
everything looks different
feels different, is different

on a windy day
the sound of the wind
blowing through the trees
creates its own melody
the fallen leaves rustle
as you walk through them
the air is cooler
a sign of the winter weather to come

just walking along
remembering childhood days
making leaf piles to run through
the wind blowing through our hair

the air is fresh and invigorating
whether it is sunny or cloudy
there is something very special
about walking in the wind
