We so often use salt in our dishes that black peppercorns often lie forgotten. But the benefits of black pepper are far better. Black peppercorns, more commonly called black pepper, dramatically enhance the taste of your dishes – and their health quotient too. Liketable salt, black pepper has its unexpectedly handy uses that goes beyond seasoning your meals at the dining table.

Here is a list of non cooking uses of black pepper :

  • Keep ants away. Sprinkle black pepper on counter tops to keep ants from invading your home.
  • Keep coloured clothes bright. Add a teaspoon of black pepper to your washer containing a load of coloured clothes, which will help keep the fabric coolers bright.
