Green Tea is extracted from the Camellia Sinensis plant. The earliest recording of Green Tea use was in China, but it is now cultivated in Japan, Vietnam and India. All of which claim to be the founders of Green Tea. Green Tea was thought to have been discovered by Emperor Shen Nong who witnessed Green Tea leaves falling into a pot of boiling water in his garden. He enjoyed the flavour and recommended it to all despite not knowing its health benefits.
