June Poetry Prompts

Hello everyone!

I feel like I haven’t talked in ages, but trust me there is a lot of planned content.
Once I’m a little bit more organised in general, that will be coming your way. In the meantime, it’s poems.

So, poems.

You might have noticed there are quite a lot of them at the minute, and I’m trying to keep that going. This month, instead of following someone else’s prompts, I have written my own.

Please, feel free to use them, tag me if you like, or however you wish. I’m hoping to get through these, and then maybe do some for each month with 30 days. That means we’ll maybe have to change things up for July and August.

All of that is a bit away anyway.

I’ll post the prompt photo on my Instagram so you can screenshot it, take it, have it hold it – all…

How Long Has It Been?

Source of Inspiration

How long has it been
since your feet stood on
rich soil, unpolluted by man?
How long has it been since
you drank crystal clear water,
pure and sweet, bubbling past
rocks in a mountain stream?

How long has it been since you
ate nourishing food free of
toxic additives, fresh from
the garden? Or breathed unpolluted
air, walked your neighborhood streets
safely at night, slept with doors
unlocked, gave thanks to our Creator
for this beautiful Earth?

It has been too long, for some, never.
It is not too late to reclaim
our lives and our Earth from
those who plunder and kill. The
power of our loving intent
joined together with the Light
can redeem our heritage.

Can You Hear Me?

Source of Inspiration

Can my voice be heard,
one tiny voice midst the roar?
Can your voice be heard,
one tiny voice midst the roar?
Stand by me; let’s join voices,
and call our brothers and sisters
to stand with us, too, for many
small voices together can be
heard above the roar.

Each of us can make a difference, individually and together. Start now!

Sometime we must steal and loan kisses…

Sometime we must steal and loan kisses
Beautiful lady arrived at the Austin’s tavern at twelve trying to escape the Texas Summer heat. Once she wanted everything and more, now she need the Long Islands ice teas.

I could see her hazel eyes that had turned grey and the hardness in the movement of her face. She shared fake smiles with the bar keep and she loved the silence.
I wrote a poem for her.
                       “Sleeping beauty
Pretty things can break easily,
some broken things cannot be fixed.
Beautiful face don’t mean hopeful heart.
Sometime Sleeping Beauty,
don’t want to be awaken.
Wise men know,
when the woman…
