“But darling, why else
would I exist,
except to love you?”
Is there room for me in your heart? I often wonder, through all the doubts and whispers, if your heart has a place for me. And I suppose, even at my worst moments, in the torrential downpours, the thicket and bramble, the weakest moments when all I have left to do is fall to the ground, I know what my heart wants. It’s always been you. And as long as I’m breathing, I’m going to force myself to move to my feet. To make that next step. To push forward. So that I can love you the way you deserve. Why else would I exist, except to love you?

If I’m lucky, you’ll love me too.
Writing is like driving at night in the fog.
You can only see as far as your headlights, but you can make the whole trip that way.

Today is Day 203 of the 2020 Daily Writing Challenge.
Did you write yesterday? Half of the year is in our rear-view mirror, and I am drawing a line in the sand. The targets I missed, the stories I didn’t compose, they no longer matter. These last six months are history. Done. I won’t lie, 2020 kicked me in the head, leaving me stunned, unsteady, and incapable of completing anything beyond basic tasks. I bet I am not alone, but don’t count me out yet. They say what doesn’t kill us makes us stronger, right? I am confident I will discover I am more capable than I have ever been. I dug deep, reevaluated my annual goals, and I decided…

The image above is “The School of Athens” (Scuola di Athene) a fresco created by Raphael (Raffaello Sanzio da Urbino) which is part of the four Raphael Rooms (Stanze di Raffaello) in the Vatican’s Apostolic Palace. Raphael’s Rooms are the Sala di Costantino (Hall of Constantine), the Stanza di Eliodoro (Room of Heliodorus), the Stanza della Segnatura (Room of the Signatura) and the Stanza dell’ Incendio del Borgo (The Room of the Fire in the Borgo).
The first room Raphael started was the Stanza della Segnatura, and “The School of Athens” was the third wallcompleted. Depicting Philosophy, “The School of Athens” is one of Raphael’s masterpiece. Raphael was not specific on the identity of the figures he portrayed and left many insisting he painted the likenesses of some of his contemporaries. The philosophers (above) include Plato or Leonardo da Vinci, Aristotle or Giuliano da Sangallo in the center. Sprawled on…

Each day you can journey from your Alpha (it begins with you) to your Omega, which in the teachings of Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, is the point within each of us where our inner spiritual nature meets our outer worldly nature.
It is with this thought I bring to you daily dose of affirmations for your mind and soul. An affirmation a day, keeps the therapist away!!! Here are your affirmation for today:
You were born to manifest things…

Vulnerability wasn’t a conscious choice she had made,
Even the idea of it made her tremble.
However, when everything around her seemed to be falling apart,
She finally allowed herself to feel vulnerable.
From then on, she sensed a beautiful force which proved to her that everything would be okay.

At the end of each day before you close your eyes, be content with what you’ve done, be grateful for what you have and be proud of who you are.
It’s a tough journey, finding our path, learning to roll with the punches. Be good to yourself, trust in the process and know that you are doing your best.
And while I lie on the grass among wildflowers, hear birds singing, wild cows howling, see the water of the lake make ripples, sense a light summer breeze on my skin and watch the clouds in the sky…
