Trellis covered walls hide the door
A door that looks deceptively plain
Behind it lies a world of fantasy and wonder
Are you going to open that door and step inside?

a still afternoon ~ and my thoughts return to you ~ green moss to grey stones —© Lize Bard @ Haiku out of Africa
Every now and then
When nothing seems to fit
I get the urge to shout out loud
“Fuck this fucking shit”
But I scream it in my mind
Because it’s not polite say
I shake it off, continue on
And go about my day
Wiping a tear from our eye
a sympathetic smile
no need to apologize

how mighty
it is my dear
that I dream of you
in my deepest
sleep at night
as my knight
in shining armor
and yet in my waking time
you are but a wretch rascal
how mighty it is, even more, my dear
that you are my rainbow after my rain
yet in my darkest night, you are
my eclipse casting a shadow
upon my world
how mighty
it is oh dear,
that you are the one
I hate to love
and the one
I love to hate
the road indeed
is narrow
as it’s a thin line
between love and hate
