“Enough of nomadic existence” they’d say
Time to settle down and get into the rat race, eh?
“Follow the traditions“, be what they want you to be
But I don’t care for that empty life I’ll tell you
The two points of views cannot converge, I think
Let’s make a truce I say
I will call home once in a way
And if you pick the phone on the first ring
We can have a chat about how my life is going
And what’s happening in yours
But other than that, let me be free to live
My life as I like, not as you think I should

To gather up everything
From the night before
And scurry to their daytime hiding
Places deep in the forest
If they know you and trust you
They will welcome you to their homes
