The Affair

Don’t Miss This great post – The Affair

Women Who Think Too Much by Jeanne Marie

I went for a walk tonight and I knew.
I knew I should have stayed away from that place, our place, but I was drawn back by an invisible, physiological tug.
I was aching for you, longing to touch you.
The passion, the thrill, the afterglow. I wanted it all, just once more.
Of course, that’s a lie because once has never been enough.
When we meet, we do it, over and over again and that’s what I really want.
As I walked around the corner, you were there. Just waiting for me. All I had to do was ask, hold out my hand and be willing to pay the price.
I wanted to take you home with me for the night, just one night, so that’s what I did.
It’s been four days and we have been together many times. We show no signs of stopping.
We’re about to…

How can I not praise something I Love??? I really Adore you for going though my archives!! All my old poems are nagging me now!! Have Jeanne come visit me. Why hasn’t Jeanne come to visit me!! I tell them “She is having to birth new writings of her own, maybe someday!” Tough love!! Ha!

          1. Thank you. Just emailed you the book. Drove behind my husband and had my mother-in-law with me. Fun, but tiring.
Yes, originally a New England girl, but I have lived in many places.
Foliage in Vermont, Maine and New Hampshire is incredible. Snow is horrendous. LOL

        3. Yes, detox, not so much fun! Ha! I think you need to fill me in on your recent history a bit? So did I miss read your piece about so many houses and 7 breakups? I guess so? Hmmm. I do like to have the facts straight, if you don’t mind. Not that it matters, just a factoid. A bit of a curse unless you are playing Trivial Pursuit! LOL!! I can handle silence, it’s just better if I know its coming in advance! LOL!! Just Me!

          1. Well Microsoft stopped using mobi reader on my computer this year. I used to use that. I use Kindle for ebooks, but I sent you the plain word doc, so if you have a computer, you just open the file. Most people download my book on apple reader. If you email me yr home address ill send you a book. That will solve the technical problem😍😍😍

        4. Yes, fall foliage in New England is heavenly – so romantic. Autumn is my favorite season. Snow gets old, like with an expiration date or like hitting that last nerve over and over again? LOL! Hallmark always makes snow look so wonderful? Ha! I used to live in Sacramento, CA and we were only an hour and a half from snow whenever we wanted it at Lake Tahoe!!! That’s the best way to enjoy snow,
like grandparents with grandkids. You don’t have to keep them any longer than you want to. What not the same with snow? Ha!

I am so thrilled you gave this your Kiss Of Approval!! Yeah!!! I will post it tonight for tomorrow. I am so very happy about this Jeanne!! You are an Angel for letting me do this!!!

        2. Wow!! I’m overjoyed with an abundance of riches with your emails/comments!! Love it, Thanks! The only problem is I think it is because WP held most of your comments from yesterday! At least I have them now!! Yeah!!

So, Dear Jeanne, I have not heard back from you (unless it’s in the batch I just got this morning) about your reactions/feelings and or approval for our Little Duet – WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN? I’m holding my breath hoping that his will meet your approval to post/publish?? I’m pasting a copy of it below in case you haven’t gotten to this yet – so it’s easy for you.

Hope you had a great weekend! Do anything fun? Hoping today and this week is going great

          WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN
BY JEANNE MARIE AND CHARLES ROBERT LINDHOLM

          I CAN HEAR THE SILENCE
          AS IT WHISPERS . . .
          WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN
          WILL NEVER BE.

          AS BITTERSWEET MEMORIES
          REPLAY IN MY MIND
          AND MY SOUL KNOWS WHY
          AS MY HEART CRIES
          IN THE DARKNESS
          OF THE NIGHT

          AND TEARS FALL
          UPON MY PILLOW

        3. So? Is this your Kiss of Approval for our duet? And would you like to post it on your site on a day one and then I will post it on mine on day 2? Or we can post them at the same time? If you want us to post it? Let me know, My Dear!!
