dark clouds still the night

brisk winds interrupt silence

faintest sound during nightfall

whispers transform peace

crows cawing assault the air

signals of trouble brewing

A gander at me –
I enjoyed a dedicated career in the insurance industry for over 20 years being rewarded both professionally and personally. Now it’s time for me to follow my dreams by doing things I enjoy…spending time with family, learning, sharing, traveling, writing poetry and encouraging others to pursue their goals. My writing and creative endeavors can be found at my blogs, Eugi’s Causerie (And so it goes…) and PoetryPalette (Poetry, a seasonal state of mind), where I have gathered a following of kindred souls who share my passion for writing. I have authored Seasoned Delights, A Haiku Collection and Mama, me and Mother Nature. I am also a published author on Spillwords.

My Love

Confab With Me

And she forgot me like I am an specter, a never existing phantom in a desert’s mirage, and I forgive her, for how can I detest love that reside inside

Crux

Charmed Chaos

And this is the crux, the heart of the matter
even a fractured spirit can love, can feel
though the soul may be in pieces, shattered

As frayed remnants are cast off and scattered
it becomes possible for one damaged to heal
and this is the crux, the heart of the matter

Amidst all the clamoring cries and clatter
take a moment to bow, to pray and kneel
though the soul may be in pieces, shattered

With vigor, embrace uplifting laughter
and understand life is not always ideal
when the soul is in pieces, shattered

When all the tears are over in the days after
fill your bright new life with hopeful zeal
for this is the crux, the heart of what matters
even…

at the edge of an eclipse

The Lonely Author

at the edge of an eclipse

a slow dance
our cheeks melting
my melancholy clinging to your soul
i shut off the moon
so we dance at the edge of an eclipse
as my loneliness gyrates
in the darkness
pressing gently against your hips
I inhale your womanhood
it inspires me to kiss
a poem onto your neck
the one I could never think of
the one confessing
I desperately need you
darling
i am slowly dying of love
