Daily Prompts- Thoughts

Keep it alive

Holding oneself aloof with the fear

Of rejection, of being jilted by the society

Robs us of a lot of joys of life we could have claimed

If you mastered sangfroid and the ability to overlook

The advice the sage gives us is to toughen up

Take the rough with the smooth

Let us love and be immersed in life

One emotion can be canceled by the other

If there’s rejection, there could be a great love

If there’s indifference you can also experience great care

So don’t be afraid to open your heart!

On sharing responsibly

Savvy Raj

To write is to express life from your perspective.
To read is to understand life from another perspective.

Both interweave in the joy of expression and explorations
Of discovering the truth of life in the magic of words.

Respect to the writers & readers who can spread unspeakable joy
And leave a positive impression  through mere words.

To the writers who have mastered the art of story telling                                                 Keeping the world safely engrossed  in these troubled times
Gratitude to all those who write and share with care
Ensuring to share words and thoughts
And make the  world feel a little better than before
My deepest appreciation
For, in the darkest of spaces
Even a little light of positive words…

Her Hands

I Write Her

unnamed

i look at my hands
and discover
they’re her hands

my veins
are not as plump
nor as soft

as a young child
her hands
gave me comfort

her veins
were my toy
to rub for hours

this one allowed act
was solace for me
for her too it seemed

a simple act
of touch
we both needed

the affection stopped
as i grew older
and we moved far away

other memories
were of rigidity and coldness
and superficial acknowledgment

when i found she wrote poetry
i realized
another connection

remembering
her hands
brings me closer still

Keep it alive

Lindais the host of One Liner Wednesday.

In today’s environment, there is to much anxiety and worry about the future. Here’s a quote to put life in true perspective;

“If you’re reading this…
Congratulations, you’re alive.
If that’s not something to smile about,
then I don’t know what is”

I Love you Gently as Snowflakes

michnavs

i love you gently
as snowflakes tumble
through the air,
swirling and spiraling,
each taking
different paths to the ground
finding gloriously a special spot
transforming, creating
new beginnings

I love you gently
as snowflakes trickle
the ground
twirling and spinning
as i find my way
unto your heart defying thy gravity
melting in your arms softly
and affectionately

I love you gently as snowflakes
