I get so much from inspirational quotes. I love to read the quotes that other bloggers share and I also enjoy sharing quotes that have helped me through difficult times with my readers.
During this difficult period of my life, I have come to find a new respect for the power that words hold, both in a negative and a positive sense. Just like words have the potential to hurt, tear down and deflate us, they also have the potential to heal, build up and encourage.
What I find so amazing, is that a single sentence, placed in the right context, can ignite hope in someones heart and can enable them to feel that they have the potential to face the difficult circumstances they are facing. This is the power of words at their most wonderful.
In equal measure, a single sentence can ruin peoples lives, steal their confidence and…

Writing is like driving at night in the fog.
You can only see as far as your headlights, but you can make the whole trip that way.
– E. L. Doctorow
Today is Day 74 of the 2020 Daily Writing Challenge.
Did you write yesterday? Life is an endless parade of challenges, exciting experiences, and thrilling activities all competing for your time, attention, and energy. The glitter and glam captures your attention, turns your head, and you forget about doing what makes you happy. While having multiple interests speaks to your personal freedom and your right to choose, the fragmented focus can keep you from following your passion and derail the attainment of your goals.
What activity lights your eyes, sets fire to your soul, and penetrates every fiber of your being? If it makes you happy to sing, then sing. If your feet yearn to dance, allow them to…

A walk in the woods, he holds my hand
I crave his touch, my lover man
He whispers things that drive me wild
I feel like I would have his child
His rugged self sleeps next to me
I sleep well, sleep peacefully
The feel of him I love the most
Skin to skin, warm as toast
Sweet dreams I have when he is near
I sleep well, without fear
Before the dawn of each new day
Quietly he slips away
I awake and he’s not there
He’s nearby and I know where
He isn’t gone, I see him smile
He just got up for a little while
Oh sun, just set on me tonight
In my lover’s arms and I’ll be all right.
Armed with a load of money
I have ventured out on a dangerous quest
I will fight the unruly mobs
And maybe have a quickbrush with death too
My mission, which I choose to accept
Is to get a few groceries for ourselves
It is difficult to navigate the aisles of the store
I am trying to keep calm and breath normally
The store manager is in her cabin, watching
The mayhem continuing in her domain
Pushing and pulling and trying to get all
Toilet paper is the most coveted possession here
It’s a mad mad world out there you all
Keep safe and don’t venture out if can be avoided

“Pi has been calculated to over thirty-one trillion digits beyond its decimal point. As an irrational and transcendental number, it will continue infinitely without repetition or pattern. – PiDay.org
“The reason for adopting this particular Greek letter is because it is the first letter of the Greek word, perimetros, which loosely translates to circumference.” – PiDay.org
Thank goodness it is Pi Day. I love numbers and math and all things scientific. With the current global situation, we need a little levity, and nothing makes me smile more than a slice of pie. Who can resist pie?
Pies come in so many delectable fruit flavors like Apple, Cherry, Peach, Strawberry, Blackberry, Blueberry, and Key Lime. If those don’t complete your equation, there are creamier pies to temp you like Lemon Meringue, Sugar Cream, Coconut Cream, and French Silk. For the more adventurous consider Pecan, Pumpkin, Rhubarb, Sweet Potato, Banoffee, Mississippi Mud, Mince…

how do we promise
over a love so honest
and so pure
a love that was ours
even before
when the world was yours and mine
and when our words
were the silent
witnesses to a love unspoken
those little pieces of verses
and lines that only makes sense
to you and i
you scribble as i giggle
and you give a laugh so loud
when i sneak in to write
verses i cannot rhyme
will this love be ours
for now and then
will we have more reasons
to laugh and giggle upon
will we finally rhyme
the lines and verses
we argue writing about
will the words finally
have sound and utter
our first i loved you then
and i love you more now?
(Dedicated to all poets 😊😊😊scribbling over a cup of coffee..)
The usually crowded street is now a peaceful sight from a distance
Linking…
