beyond the fear
of knowing
a knowledge greater still
than all the books
remembered
in their prime
beyond the grace
of letting be –
the first sweet breath
of life –
a memory returned
of squandered time
sorrow bears
the taking back –
yet grieves for days
between
when all we loved
remains as tears
divine
. . .
The light suddenly announced the day
I opened my eyes
you were away.
I closed them again
desperate to understand
who you are?
are we far?
will the fate merge our paths?
but you were already gone
and now I’m alone.
I spied her
an extension of March grasses
she raised her head
we held each others eyes
and each our breaths
her wary
me afraid of scaring her off
and with a click she was gone.

Ragtag Daily Prompt: Afraid
raging thoughts
separation, secrets, seclusion
energy consumption
endless contemplation
one wish
and fear woven in it completely
stopping her from everything she is born to be

I know how hard it is for you
So I prayed for you
I asked God to give you strength
To calm your nerves and fears
And dry your tears
I know how hard this is for you
But you are not alone
I prayed for you today
