Galaxy in a moment

In mind and out

I am contemplative,
as I try to fit a galaxy in a moment –
I stretch it across the sea between us
in my fantasies
we are pangaea and a panacea,
a continent and a cure-all
and I freeze time
and watch glaciers form
in the film in the corners of your eyes
when you blink
you make me wild and carefree
with such decadence and deliciousness
I can taste it
and I am fearless
as time rushes in
I make sure there is no place for it to sit
between us
I throw myself off the edges,
and I am reckless,
no need for second thoughts
when I am suspended here
like this –
where impossibles are possibilities,
and galaxies fit
