Possibilities
I believe in the possibility of almost anything.
The surety of youth has passed.
I have but one belief; the rest is speculation.
I believe in the possibility of almost anything.
Religion, dogma, cultural values are debatable.
Only one truth for me: our Creator exists as love.
I believe in the possibility of almost anything.
The surety of youth has passed.

The Magic of Books

With her little hands, she scans each page
and as she looks.
She finds that she is mesmerized by the
magic from these books.
~
By candlelight she reads each night and as
the candle burns.
She finds delight from the the magic of books
with each page she turns.
~
For a moment, she’s a princess dancing, in
a castle she’d be prancing.
Other times a ballerina, loved by all that came
And seen her.
~
Yes, she loves these books to me she said.
She keeps them neatly stored next to her bed.
Each night she goes to sleep it seems she
always dreams the same sweet dreams.
~
All the while she has a smile and as these thoughts
dance through her head. ”She believes” that
there is really magic. In every page she’s read..

SUMMER DAY… a poem
Sing me a song of a summer day
Where warm winds blow across the fields
And butterfies alight on fragrant flowers
Sing me a song of a summer day
Where cold winter winds are but memories
And warmth is not hiding away
Sing me a song
Of a summer day
smile at the door
Embracing The Gusts
“But for now, I must embrace
what I have, when I have it.”
Sometimes it seems like some proverbial finish line has passed me by. Sometimes, it’s more than the stillness of thought, but a feeling of absence. An emptiness that envelops everything into a cold embrace, unwilling to loosen its grip. Every now and again, there’s some kind of fracture, and the words begin to spill from all directions. As if a tornado is whipping streams off thought instead of swirling gusts of wind coming from every direction.
Perhaps these little reprieves are temporary and that emptiness will fade further into the recesses. But for now, I must embrace what I have, when I have it.
