The Dove…Written by Nichole Sulpizio

Please come and enjoy – The Dove

GlitzyRitzyMommy

With a heart full of gold

Her life traumatic

Truth be told

She will not break

There is nothing fake

About her

Real as the eye can see

Presenting reality

To love her

Is to understand

Taking a certain

Gentle man

Whom adores

Cherishes

The softness of her heart

Taking her hand

Showing her kittens and rainbows

Thoughts

Desires

Raising her hand

Lifting her higher

For she is love

And love is she

Pure like a white dove

Waiting to be released

From the cage

Spreading her wings

Soaring away

Heights so high

Straight into your heart

She will stay

Unraveling the Unknown

Go Dog Go Café

I’m in my happy place…driving through the middle of no-where Utah…land of red sedimentary rock, copper mines, and known as Straight-Up Land by the Paiute Indians. The road ahead goes on for what seems forever. What is it about this road that makes me so happy? It’s not just any ol’ road. Roads carved by the ruts of routine don’t make me this happy. No…it’s about the mystery. What’s over the hill? What will the next mile reveal? What’s the name of the next town? My joy found in unraveling the unknown.

the paved road unfurls
for as far as eyes can see
the future unclear
a horizon holds promise
embracing uncertainty

Finding my voice

paeansunpluggedblog

I draw curtains, switch off the lights

put away the gizmos

and disconnect with the world

I need isolation to connect with self

I need darkness to see within

the quiet to listen

to the timorous but persistent voice

that was being drowned by

the cacophonous clamouring outside

the voice of reason that was shouted down

by volatile, vociferous and vituperative vocals

nonplussed I had sat

on the fence of neutrality

balancing on a razor’s edge all the while

hoping things would change on their own

as I watched like a bystander

the chicanery of the overtly righteous blinded me

but the honesty of the ordinary emboldened me

bloodied but wise I step off the razor

and reclaim my space

to join those who are right

my voice refusing to stay muzzled

I finally find my voice to speak and to be heard

it may not be a roar but

Weights

Sarah Doughty

“And this weight is slowly suffocating me.
The weight of loving you.”

And this weight is slowly suffocating me. Building brick by brick, stone by stone until my lungs even cannot withstand it. It’s the weight of loving you. The abundance of feeling that overflows from my skin and spills from my eyes. Can you feel it, too? If only these words carried the weight I feel in my bones. Maybe it won’t be so difficult to understand. Because then, it’ll mean you feel the same way. That you feel the same weight. And isn’t that worth the effort?

If it isn’t, what is?

Much money for war;

Social services money

Always in danger

NOTE: “Why does America always seem to have trillions of dollars for wars, but basic things like raises for teachers, healthcare and social security are always in danger?” — a tweet from Andy Lassner, executive producer of The Ellen DeGeneres Show

Life is as you make it!

Savvy Raj

This is a beautiful painting by my dear artistic friend Rupa from India.

Am visiting France currently, so I happened to send her a photo in the morning of a beautiful magpie on the street in Rennes. Her brushes waxed eloquent on the canvas and painted the beautiful being in my heart for eternity.

Yesterday as I was speaking to a senior faculty at a university here who also nurses a similar interest in painting and photography I was so happy to share my friend’s work with her… I believe love for art and creativity is such a beautiful way to connect with life.

Thank you dear friend for taking the effort…. it’s such a lovely first impression.💙🤗💙

One who knows the worth of life cannot afford to waste even a single moment of life…every step you take towards a more meaningful life for you, makes life worth living in…
