My sisters are denied
their basic human rights.
Enslaved, abused, they
cry out in cultures that
refused to hear their tears.
We can not hope for the
salvation of mankind
as long as women are
denied the rights that
men claim for their own.
This is a worldwide issue.
Yes, even in “free” countries.
There can be no spiritual
awakening of mankind
as long as we allow abuse
of women (and children).
The world must have
a balance of both
masculine and feminine energy
which can only be attained by love.
We fool ourselves if we
speak pretty words
then turn away from those in need.
JUST ONE DROP
Just one drop
that falls not
That never fails
in erasing all fault
A death
that brings life
One for all
In the serenity
of a friendly voice
I hear the call
Always a choice
to steer your vessel
on a heavenly course
Words of wisdom
the truth to tell
One drop of love
that doesn’t fall
and never fails
Just one drop
of grace divine
suspended . . .
in the fullness of time
No silent witness
to a world of crime
A door is wide open
as the Word
has been spoken
throughout the expanse
of infinite space
One drop of hope
for this human race
Just one drop …
more than enough

This poem takes the first letter of each month from January to December. It’s a prayer to use our voices to right all wrongs in the coming year.
Just because
Freedom is like a
Moth that fears no flames
And liberty’s wings flap
More from
Joyful exuberance than
Just uncaged reality- doesn’t mean that
Anger is curled up
Sleeping while injustice sails
Over the nations as they cry
“No more!” with strong voices of the year
Daring it to raise its head once again

I often wonder
What life will be like
Beyond The After
Will it even be called “life”
Or just an existence
Will it be what we’ve been told
Or something we create
In our own minds
Will there even be a “Beyond”
Will I now be judged differently
Because I have these questions?
Will the God I believe in
Punish me for questioning this?
Will we know that we have moved
Beyond this life?
I guess I’ll have to wait and see
I’m in no hurry though
Just curious
