halo of thorns

Written in Blue Mercury

I wish I could have known
with your halo of thorns
you said you were born
to own the oceans
of the love forlorn

I wish I could have known
you said your heart was gold
but it was stone
torn apart
at the wishbone
in a time of need
forced to concede
that your heart
had no love
to bleed

I wish I could have known
that you were incapable of
your love
being shown
that your love
was for you alone

that your love
was for you alone

No Other Love ~ A Poem By Walt Page, The Tennessee Poet

Walt's Writings

I love her like there is no other
Because there is no other
I am a Poet
She is my Poetry
Every day I drown in her ocean
Filling my lungs with her essence
When we first met
We both felt we had loved each other before
In another life
In another time
For us it was an immediate
Point Of No Return”
I don’t need anything more
I have her, and that is enough
Without her
Nothing would mean anything
Love can be a beautiful dream
Or your worst nightmare
She is my dream

Let us remember that right now is a blessing.

” Life always knows exactly what we need, what we are ready for, and when we are prepared to
receive it. We are usually so busy looking behind or ahead, we miss the flow of life passing right
before our eyes. Fear, anxiety, guilt, and shame fog our vision and cause us to miss the point,
the lesson, and the blessing. Let us remember that right now is a blessing.”
