Hope Is Enough

Sarah Doughty

“But for now, all we have left of us is hope.
Maybe, if we’re lucky, that will be enough.”

Perhaps our hearts will find each other. That love might have a chance for us in another life. Maybe then we will finally believe in fate. And find out if our souls really are bound together beyond this lifetime. But for now, all we have left of us is hope. Maybe, if we’re lucky, that will be enough.

Oh Winds Of Change

Charmed Chaos

Oh winds of change why must you blow
and come roaring in like a hurricane
blowing my comfortable life to and fro
left in your wake, everything’s changed

And yet, the unknown is always there
or so say the stoics of centuries past
for comfort is but an illusion we wear
and life is never meant to endure or last

So Blow, changing winds Blow, Blow, Blow!
And in the end my weathered soul soars free
to explore other cosmos never known
floating on a breeze with gossamer wings

Planning and Managing December Exhaustion – Daily Quote

Jo Hawk

im-a-junkie-for-exhaustion-and-im-a-junkie-for-setting-up-my-expectations-too-high-and-then-trying-to-meet-them.-stephen-colbert

December’s reputation is that it is the busiest month of the year. My calendar confirms the legitimacy of that claim. I am exhausted just contemplating my commitments. Multiple party invitations, friends wanting to meet for dinner, and shopping for perfect presents, create a dogpile on the list of tasks I want to complete before we bide goodbye to 2019. I also have the ongoing remodel, with endless decisions required to keep the project on track. I need a nap.

With added responsibilities and heightened expectations, I am including a few more items to my daily program.  I am taking care of myself to keep my energy at optimum levels. This includes rigorous adherence to getting enough sleep. I wasn’t kidding about the nap. They say the best results are relaxing for 10 to 30 minutes between 2 and 3 pm.

I have committed to observing my water intake, ensuring I…

“There will never be complete satisfaction in this life, satisfaction is an illusion …”  Amit Kalantri

It Dies Before it is born

What might we agree that is truly satisfying?
this definition of perpetual waiting
for the next moment or event in time,
what is satisfying is only in the moment
here now, gone tomorrow,
and, when the moment comes,
it dies before it is born,
and yet we go on seeking,
sometimes missing life
in hot pursuit of this
elusive experience.
