Happy Thanksgiving to my cousins and their families in Philadelphia.. Love you all, have a glorious gathering of the clan….. missing you all….. xxx

Thanks For Giving

Thanks for being there

Receiving my poems through the air

Thanks for reading my humble words

Understanding my journey with ‘our’ bluebird

Sometimes I am an introvert

But inwardly I am a flirt

Thanks for your comments, all so kind

Soothing my self-conscious mind

Thanks for appreciating the songs

Tunes from my soul, I’ll be playing lifelong

Thanks for the hugs and kisses

Caressing my heart with rivers of bliss

THROWBACK FRIDAY- Linda Lee Lyberg- The Stars are Prisoners in Your Eyes

Go Dog Go Café

christmas-518413_1280

For the stars they are prisoners in your eyes
While luscious lips hold me captive
Our dancing shadows in gold candlelight
In your warm arms, I am enraptured.

While luscious lips hold me captive
And that which I give to sacrifice
In your warm arms I am enraptured
Gladly paying the ultimate price.

And that which I give to sacrifice
All worldly treasures that I may own
Gladly paying the ultimate price
Take my flesh, my blood, and bone.

All worldly treasures that I may own
Our dancing shadows in candlelight
Take my flesh, my blood and bone
For the stars they are prisoners in your eyes.

THROWBACK FRIDAY: This Secret Life of Mine

Go Dog Go Café

Secret Life of MineThis Secret Life of Mine

Maybe you’re unaware
of this secret life of mine
Not a fancy gossip affair
But rather boring and benign
Focused only on the bottom line

Ten-key clicks the hymn rhythm
of accountants everywhere
In concert with all of ’em
Every month in my chair
Every year accounting with care

And now another budget season
Setting aside the poetry lines
and picking up my logical reason
Off I go with a little whine
To this secret life of mine.

Go Dog Go Café

A colorful explosion,

a kaleidoscopic implosion,

a vibrance shattered amongst

the ends of the horizon

and scattered across the galaxy

with its tinge appearing

in every shade

of the sunrise and sunset

painting the crimson laced sky

in the wee hours of the day

the burst of the colors

those glittering and spellbinding

sending the vibration

throughout the galaxy

in a frenzy only to be

experienced by you and me

the way it has been layered

and hidden in the strata

of the earth

and the rising from

the core of its womb

that exuberance and the warmth

is carried by your smile

that little indentation in your skin.

You Always Stick With Me

Frank Solanki

I was thinking this all night

Up till the morn’ light

Am I lucky to call us ‘We’?

I begin to reflect

I know I’m not perfect

But you always stick with me

Not knowing what flaw is

I battled lost causes

To drown in a massive sea

You bring me to the shore

Show me the world and more

You always stick with me

You’re always by my side

You make me smile so wide

You’re the best that there can be

So often I am wrong

I don’t always stay strong

Yet you always stick with me

I know I’m not like them

You love all that I am

The goodness that you see

That’s why I love you

All the things you do

And you always stick with me
