I sit here and watch the other kids play
Another short night
Another long day
But I don’t feel sorry for myself anymore
I discovered books
And began to explore
From little kids flying
Holding each other’s hands
To a far away place
That they called Neverland
And a giant white whale
Far out at sea
With a man who would kill it
To be who he’d be
Late at night there’s a knocking
Upon someone’s door
Could it be The Raven
No, “’tis the wind and nothing more”
So, please don’t feel sorry
I’m as happy little guy
My legs may not work
But my limit is the sky
