It seemed an eternity has passed and I am still standing here

Waiting for you, waiting to catch a glimpse of your face in the crowd

Each second passes like an eon and yet here I am standing waiting

I wonder why I haven’t shriveled away to dust a long time ago

No mortal lives for eternity, the time I have stood here and waited

Death has taken you away forever otherwise I am sure that you

Would have returned at least once to show me your beloved face

‘Cause you know I will wait here till eternity till I could see you again

This week consider the concept of eternity. It doesn’t always refer to the next life. Sometimes waiting for the doctor can seem like an eternity….so any long wait can leave us frustrated and thinking…
