Today’s Quote
The supreme happiness of life
is the conviction of being loved for yourself,
or, more correctly,
being loved in spite of yourself.

The Poet’s Canvas – A poem by Goff James
Daily Prompts- The unheard screams
In my head I can hear the silent screams
Of souls in pain and in desperate need
The meek, those in the bottom of the food chain
Cry out in agony at the injustice doled out
I ascribe this noise to a malady in my head
I cannot face that I am the cause of this injustice
But staring ahead doesn’t abolish what coming
Chasing me, taunting my hypocrisy and falseness
The bubble I’m existing in will not hold me for long
It is time to stand and be accountable for my actions
The ruin brought on by favoring a few over many
Has brought us all to this tragic end

“Few things have done more harm than the belief on the part of individuals or groups that they are in sole possession of the truth and that those who differ need suppressing.”
“Few things have done more harm than the belief on the part of individuals or groups (or tribes or states or nations or churches) that he or she or they are in sole possession of the truth: especially about how to live, what to be and do – and that those who differ from them are not merely mistaken, but wicked or mad: and need restraining or suppressing.”
