Even So

They say,
whoever they are,
that beauty is in the
eye of the beholder,
perhaps that is true,
or that beauty lies within,
even so,
beauty without action is hollow,
eyes and ears are easily captivated
while the heart alone is melted
by the self-giving of compassion.
