Life’s Song ~ A Poem By Walt Page, The Tennessee Poet

Walt's Writings

Every now and then,
when I feel like I’m in a round room,
looking for a corner to hide in,
my mind wanders back to
once upon another time
with another remember.

I let the river of dreams carry me,
hoping I might find treasures
among the ashes of my past,
ashes caused by the fires in my soul
during an unguarded moment.

But alas, any treasures are now long gone.
We can only remember
what is meant to be remembered.
We can only find
What we allow to be found.

But life goes on,
and hope lives on,
hidden in the lyrics
of our own life’s song.
