Randomness-Stairway to Heaven

Penny Wilson Writes

“And as we wind on down the road
Our shadows taller than our soul
There walks a lady we all know
Who shines white light and wants to show
How everything still turns to gold
And if you listen very hard
The tune will come to you at last
When all are one and one is all
To be a rock and not to roll
And she’s buying the stairway to heaven”

Songwriters: Jimmy Page / Robert Plant – Led Zeppelin

*A bit of randomness here on your Sunday.  A very old song by Led Zeppelin, Stairway to Heaven. I’ve always loved it.  This last bit, copied and pasted above has always been my favorite part of the song.  This stuck in my head this morning so I thought I would share.  If you would like to see the complete lyrics, you can find them here: https://genius.com/Led-zeppelin-stairway-to-heaven-lyrics

I Felt it’s Beauty

Stella

I held on

It slipped at first

But I held it

Until it slipped some more

I grabbed it hand over hand

As if a tug of war

But it was a fish

Wet and slimy

I dug my nails in

They drew blood

But I held

When it bit back I withdrew

As I released it smoothly glided through my hands

I felt it’s beauty

I saw it’s sparkle

Even as it’s gone

I see it’s shine

It’s dim but it’s there

I want to live simply

Purplerays

I want to live simply.
I want to sit by the window when it rains
and read books I’ll never be tested on.
I want to paint because I want to,
not because I’ve got something to prove.
I want to listen to my body, fall asleep
when the moon is high
and wake up slowly,
with no place to rush off to.
I want not to be governed by money or clocks
or any of the artificial restraints
that humanity imposes on itself.
I just want to be,
boundless and infinite.

A Sign

Writing With An Open Heart

I asked for a sign today,
Something to keep me strong.

At first it was a song on the radio that I dismissed as a coincidence.
But the second one was so clear,
And more beautiful than I ever imagined.

It was a yellow butterfly that I’ve been wishing to see
.
It circled around me for few minutes,
And then flew away proudly,
As if it had fulfilled it’s mission.

20 Seconds of Courage.

Writing With An Open Heart

Happy Sunday everyone,
Have any of you ever tried this? If not what would your 20 seconds of courage be like??
Would love to read all about it in the comments 😀 † †

“You know, sometimes all you need is 20 seconds of insane courage, just literally 20 seconds of embarrassing bravery, and I promise you something great will come of it.”
