The baristas at Go Dog Go Cafe are big fans of Pay It Forward Thursdays. We think it is a great opportunity to give a shout-out to another writer who has wowed us or creatively inspired us. It a great way to share the love and pass it on to the readers. It also becomes a great pool for excellent reading stuff by your fellow readers of the WordPress community.

Lost In Silence

Sarah Doughty

“Sometimes, it’s the silence that gets me.
Even though you’re within arm’s reach.”

Sometimes, it’s the silence that gets me. Even though I know you’re within arm’s reach, I still feel as though I’m miles away. Lost in a midnight mist that covers the ground like a shroud. I can feel the earth beneath my feet, the grass tickling at my ankles, but even above the blanket of fog, there’s no light. Not even the moon to guide me home. But it’s not so much the darkness that scares me. It’s the silence. Somehow, the silence leaves me with no compass. No sense of direction. And I fear if I begin to walk, I might end up further away. In the dark. In the quiet. In the mist.

© Sarah Doughty

And that’s when
the silence
becomes deafening.

Tuesday’s Thoughts!

Nuggets of Gold

HAPPY TUESDAY! It may be April, but yesterday we had March winds, they were strong! I opened the van door to get out at a stop I made and the door tried to take me on a ride, thankful for much calmer weather today. I do believe its safe for me to go outside now.  I hope the winds of happiness blow your way today. If its other winds that are trying to blow HOLD ON and I hope they calm for you soon. Enjoy the quotes, and if the day is windy look to the sky, perhaps you will see Mary Poppins fly by!
