Then You Came Along

Frank Solanki

I was lonely. I was sad

I had lost everything that I ever had

I had nothing but time

No family, house, car or dime

Then you came along

Everything turned so wrong

I forgot that I was ever sad

You made me happy. You made me glad

Like you were an evil witch

You turned my fortunes. Made me rich

Now I just don’t understand

What to do with the cash in hand

Why don’t you just go away?

There’s so much tax that I have to pay

Give me back my time and space

I don’t want to see your face

Is this some devious plot of yours?

To gift me a healthy Swedish horse

All this wealth – this isn’t me

I want to go back to writing poetry

Though Provoker #6 ; March 19/19

Keep it alive

Rory of A Guy Called Bloke is asking;

Thought Provoker’s

At what point in our lives do you think we think we are good enough?

Anytime in life when you attain the emotional maturity to realize that the standards you are judging yourself by are obsolete. You just need to satisfy your inner soul that you are doing the best you can in the given circumstances and you will be good enough.

Nature, a child’s innocence, selfless love, a smile. Anything that stirs your soul towards positivity is beautiful. It lies in your eyes .

Do you think that when we dream, we can dream within a dream? But if you don’t dream, why do you think that is?

Anything is possible in dreams, except what happened in “Inception” I dream but often forget about them when…

Tale Weaver #215: Alone March 21

Keep it alive

This week consider the concept of alone.

For each of us it will mean something different.

You can, for example, feel alone in a crowd in the same way you can on a deserted beach.

Write your response limiting your composition to 500 – 600 words or less.

Please link your post using the linking tool below.

I look forward to reading your thoughts.

Alone is not a word to be afraid of. Alone is when you commune with yourself. I like a bit of alone time everyday ( sometimes it’s a lot of alone time). I treasure this because it centers me. I put my thoughts in order. I meditate and talk to my Creator. It is when I sort out the daily issues and pesky problems in my mind. And why should I say that sorting things out in my mind helps? Because there are times when some…

Keep it alive

She appeared on his radar, enticing

With her come hither looks and sashaying

He abandoned all pretense of disinterest

And followed her around with adoration

Not a bit of hate could be found in his nature

He didn’t mind that she was incoherent in her talk

Her love was all he needed to be her slave for life
