Sugar Drunk

That hazy spring afternoon,
as the sun soaked us,
we wandered
in that field of flowers,
as the bees were taking nectar,
sugar drunk,
buzzing so excitedly,
and we laid down,
humming that sacred tune
for all we were worth,
so drunk on loving.
